For the Highest Quality Pre-Hospital Medical Training

Our Mission

Our mission at Life Support Services is to provide all our clients with  professional, pre-hospital medical training with a quality assurance program that ensures up-to-date procedures. We strive to support our clients with flexible programs to meet their health-care training needs.

Life Support Services began in 1995 as a First Aid and CPR provider. Over time, it has grown into a company that provides training to fire departments in Elgin, Lambton, Middlesex and Oxford Counties, as well as Industrial First Response Teams. We also provide First Aid and CPR training to employees of smaller companies. Our programs are enjoyable and informative. We focus on practical training rather than lecture only classes. We believe that the teaching method of explanation, demonstration, and practice has many merits.

Life Support Services offers several programs geared towards Basic First Aid. Our courses are useful for students who require First Aid and CPR certification as a prerequisite for college programs or employment in certain fields ( IE. fire, police, day care provider, health care aide, etc.) These courses are also ideal for a smaller company or industry that requires First Aid certification for WSIB. Our advanced courses are ideal for fire departments looking for a First Responder Program, as well as,  any industry or business looking to provide training for a First Response Team within their plant or workspace.

In 1998, we began offering S-AED (Semi-Automatic External De-fibrillation) certification to fire departments and industrial teams. Dr. James A. Head of St. Thomas, a long-time supporter of pre-hospital care, came on board as our Medical Director. Dr. Head oversees all S-AED protocols. For other more technical courses, such as auto extrication, we use fire department personnel as subject matter experts. In 2006 Life Support Services started offering Combat Medical courses in conjunction with the various other Medical courses offered.

All Life Support Services instructors currently are, or have been, qualified paramedics in Ontario. They have had numerous hours of instructional technique training including classroom communications and principles of adult education.

We pride ourselves in developing top-notch training programs that are delivered by top-notch instructors.
